I woke up on Amtrak this morning, somewhat uncomfortably. I discovered a little late that my seat has a reclining footrest. I asked a fellow passenger where he got his  coffee. I’m passing through Oregon now, between Eugene and Bend. The scenery is a mixture of tall straight evergreens, yellow flowering shrubs, long ferns, and steep hills. I’m listening to Kid Koala’s 12 Bit Blues. It’s a good traveling soundtrack.
