52 miles

This day is a blur now – I’m writing a day late. There was a stop in Eagle River for fuel, post office, and a little reorganizing. I mailed a gift to Danielle, a postcard to Colleen, and some items to myself. The birdhouse for Ben wasn’t the right size for a flat rate box, so I will mail it to him from Detroit. The ride was nice – winding county roads through national and state forests—smooth curves and tall old evergreens and wildflowers. I decided to stop at Pine Lake campground, a US Forest Service spot in Hiles, which isn’t really a town.
